Description xonoxf 2007-05-15 10:09:32 UTC
When an OpenOffice application is running as an OLE server inside another
application using inplace activation, the keyboard focus is lost when an
OpenOffice toolbar is used.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Microsoft Excel
2. Choose Insert / Object / OpenDocument Text
3. Type a few words in the embedded Writer window
4. Push the "bold" button on the formatting toolbar
5. The keyboard focus is lost, it's not possible to type anymore

just for the records:

I can see this problem using WinXP and OOo2.1, too...

After using a toolobar button the focus is out of the "text area"... one has to
put it back using the mouse... :(

I set this issue to "confirmed"...

@tm: hi tm, who's the "winner" of this pretty issue?

add myself to CC...

TM->MRU: Ole ? You ?
Comment 4 michael.ruess 2007-07-04 11:59:14 UTC
MRU->OS: when an OOo application (does not matter if Writer or Calc...) runs as
OLE server e.g. in a Ms Office application, clicking a button in the toolbar
like one of the format buttons, it is not possible to enter taxt until the user
explicitly click the cursor "back" into the text.
