Description Joost Andrae 2007-06-14 15:05:18 UTC
JA->NN: This issue is a duplication of iBIS 108614

- Open Calc
- Start Editing a Cell
- while in the Edit mode, try changing the cell alignment
- You will notice that the text within the cell do not change its alignment,
although that the alignment button on the tool bar have changed
- Commit the text to the cell (by moving the cursor to another cell) you will
notice that the text changes its alignment to match the tool bar

This is quite confusing to the user since the tool bar alignment change while
the text inside the cell do not change its alignment till the cell loses the
focus. In MS you can not change the text alignment in a cell while you are in
the Edit mode (Alignment buttons get disabled in excel when the cell in edit mode)

FT->NN: please enable text alignment live in text edit mode.

Comment 5 IngridvdM 2008-11-13 14:32:54 UTC
@dr, the fixes for this issue need to be moved to a different CWS as
calcchartrtl01 will be deleted and not be integrated into 3.1.

Hi, all
About this issue, I still have a question.
This is the horizontal case, what about vertical?
it still behaves strangely.
Comment 11 oc 2009-03-30 12:21:20 UTC
This fix was only designed for the horizontal case ( fix was necessary for ctl).
For the vertical case and other formatings please open a new issue
Comment 12 lvyue 2009-03-31 06:47:43 UTC
Ok, I can submit another issue,
but the summary of this issue is : Alignment in Calc.
so, I wonder why we can not finish both horizontal and vertical cases,
and what summary I can use for a new issue, "Vertical alignment in Calc"?
I don't think it is good.
Comment 13 oc 2009-03-31 09:25:49 UTC
I've changed the summary of this task so you can use the global one
Comment 14 lvyue 2009-04-02 03:15:01 UTC
Is there anyone who tried to change the alignment from menu?
menu: Format - Alignment - Left(or any other one in the menu).
it should work as the button, right?
Comment 15 daniel.rentz 2009-04-02 10:06:08 UTC
Vertical alignment: issue 100783
Horizontal alignment via menu: issue 100783 (unfortunately, the menu items use
other slot IDs than the toolbar buttons)
Comment 16 daniel.rentz 2009-04-03 07:52:59 UTC
correction: Horizontal alignment via menu: issue 100784 of course...

This issue is closed automatically and wasn't rechecked in a current version of
OOo. The fixed issue should be integrated in OOo since more than half a year. If
you think this issue isn't fixed in a current version (OOo 3.1), please reopen
it and change the field 'Target Milestone' accordingly.
