Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 78838
OO.o document window not selectable with Alt-Tab if Assign Action dialog open
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:31:19 UTC
To recreate do the following: Create a new Text document Drop any control onto the document Open the property editor for the control Use Alt=Tab to display the icons for open windows, note that the icon for this new text file is displayed. Now from the Event tab of property editor open the Assign Action dialog for any event. Again use Alt-Tab, you will see that the icon for the current Text document has disappeared. The only way to get back to this window now is to use your mouse. This odd behavior happens in both 2.2.1 and 2.3m_216
TM->MRU: please have a look,... seems to be more a writer- than a framework-issue. Thanks in advance
MRU->MSC: also happens in Calc document. Seems to be a problem of the Controls dialogs.
Hi, I can confirm this, reassign to the right developer and set target. Bye Marc
AFAIK, this is a OS problem: What we have is a top-level window (the document window) with a non-modal, floating child window (the property browser). Modal to this child window, additional child windows/dialogs are opened. In this situation, Windows somehow removes the document window from the Alt-Tab list. We can perhaps make the dialogs modal to the document window, I'm not sure whether this works, we must ensure then that the property browser keeps non-functional as long as the dialog is open. This might be very difficult to achieve, across the wide variety of window managers we encounter in the wild.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
