Description eric.bachard 2007-06-25 10:47:14 UTC
Mac OS X 10.4.x , issue verified on both Intel and PowerPC

How reproduce :

- Open a new writer document
- Insert formulas, and try to insert { [ ] } or whatever using ALT key -> the character is simply not seen
because ALT is not active in formulas

The relevant code ( thanks to hdu and thomas lange) is located in starmaths, exactly in:
svx/editeng/editeng.cxx

This issue is in fact an important issue, because the problem does exist for all edit engines, not only for
formulas.

Comment 4 pavel 2007-06-28 12:39:15 UTC
Verified in aquavcl01. In cs keyboard, I can now use Alt+[ to enter [.

The original problem was with non en-US keyboard where Alt is used to temporary switch to en-US layout.
