Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 78850
Remove GUI option "Automatic file name extension" from File-Save dialog (WinXP)
Last modified: 2009-07-20 14:55:58 UTC
Win98-WinXP: Remove GUI option "Automatic file name extension" from File-Save dialog The scope of this issue is to hide or remove the option "Automatic file name extension" from the file save dialog. This is not about changing the way how OOo actually assigns a file name extension (if automatic=on). For API stability or configuration compatibility reasons, we may need to decide to keep the configuration setting, but still, the UI shall be removed.
.
Now the Windows native filepicker (WinXP & Co) does not show those check box any longer. Instead the SFX file dialog helper class make sure that all files will have a suitable extension.
