Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 79035
Absolute cell reference becomes a range when draged
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:14:21 UTC
When a cell is edited, if an absolute referenced cell is draged, it becomes a range reference. Say you have: a1 = $b$1 + b2 Double click on it to edit formula Drag the b1 reference to c1 and confirm edit You should have a1 = $c$1 + b2, but have a1 = $c$1:c1 + b2 Although the answer is still correct, if the cell gets copied, say to a2, it will become a2 = $c$1:c2 + b3 which is equal to c2 + b3, instead of the correct a2 = $c$1 + b3 Since dragging to edit part of formulas is a very important feature, this should be a show stopper

This is really annoying. Working with large spreadsheets without using the dragging feature is taking too long (and using it is too risky!) Is there any thing I can help with in order to solve the issue?
Hi Eike, seems to be yours. Frank
