Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 79817
Impress: line spacing increases as you export file or paste page from Microsoft file
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:21:02 UTC
Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2, Chinese (traditional char). OpenOffice Impress 2.2.1, Chinese (traditional char). 1. Open the attachment "line_spacing.ppt", which was created from Microsoft Powerpoint. 2. The line spacing is "1 line". 3. Export as Microsoft Powerpoint format and re-open it. The line spacing becames 101%. 4. If you open it and paste Powerpoint slides into it, and export it as Powerpoint format, and repeat it many times, you will find that as you paste Powerpoint slides into it, the "pasted slides" will gradually increase in line spacing. 5. The expected behaviour is that it should keep "1 line" spacing. 6. This problem has been existing since 2.0.1. Thanks. Qiyao
Created attachment 46931 [details] line spacing
Set to new and change the target.
I can reproduce the bug. Please have a look.
Thanks for looking at the issue. 1. If you don't select anything on the page, the "line spacing" will gradually decreases. 2. If you select the text frame, but not the text inside, the "line spacing" will gradually increases. 3. If you select text inside, the "line spacing" remains at "single". 4. If you paste a powerpoint slide from another file, then after repeated openings, pastings, and saving, then as you paste, the "line spacing" visibly increases. Thanks. Qiyao
1. Sometimes the reported line spacing increases, but the visible spacing does not. Sometimes the visible spacing also increases. 2. It increase not with the times you have saved the file, but with the size of the file, or with how many times you have used Impress. 3. Sometimes if the reported spacing is 142% and you set it "back" to "single", the visible spacing *decreases*. Thanks. Qiyao
I have another instance, where when I paste text from within a text box to within another text box in another file, the line spacing *decreases*, e.g. from "single-line" in the source file to "58%" in the destination file. Thanks. Qiyao
I found that the line spacing on the master slide changes.
