Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 8009
Inconsistent/confusing undo while modifying cell
Last modified: 2003-10-27 09:17:53 UTC
When editing an cell with content by typing in a new content, doing undo doesn't give the original content (it undoes the editing of the new content, but aditional undos doesn't give back the original either, just redoes the insert). This can be confusing, and should be like in ms excel. The first undo should give the old content back, or the second should do that and then the other undos in the list.
Marius, thank you for using and supporting OOo. I'm going to mark this as an enhancement request. OOo works like this for the Undo: 1. Enter 1234 into A1. 2. Enter asdf into A1. 3. Press Ctrl-Z or use Edit->Undo. The cell goes blank. 4. Press Esc and the original contents of A1 is preserved. or 1. Enter 1234 into A1. 2. Enter asdf into A1. 3. Make sure you are on another cell ( ie, A1 should have asdf in it ) 4. Press Ctrl-Z or Edit->Undo. The contents of A1 is restored to 1234.
Hi Falko, as all RFE's are for you, I just send you this one. But I don't think it is a MUST to implement. Frank
I tried the bahaviour in Excel and Calc 1.1 and cannot find any wrong behaviour.
