Description ali_b 2007-10-04 13:14:08 UTC
If you create a chart in OpenOffce Draw and export this chart to SVG the chart
caption is missing. The chart itself is ok.

Adjusted Prio.
Comment 5 ali_b 2008-03-17 10:08:06 UTC
I think the reason for this bug is, that the fill and stroke color is set to "none"
Comment 6 ooo 2008-07-23 14:22:15 UTC
setting target to 3.x due to resource constraints
Comment 7 ali_b 2009-10-07 09:03:35 UTC
What is the status of this issue? Why is it still "new"?
The issue was created on 04.10._2007_ and still noting happened.
Since the priority is set to P3 it should be fixed a long time ago already!

Please fix this issue, many people need this to export valid charts and import
them in other applications. At the moment this is not possible.
Comment 8 ooo 2009-10-07 10:28:21 UTC
ka=>ali_b: beside the fact that this bug will be fixed within the OOo 3.x
timeline (according to the target milestone set), who told you that it should
have been fixed already? Thousands of other tasks have also a priority of P3 and
they actually do have have a higher internal priority if someone voted for them.
This issue has 0 votes so far, so why do you think that many people are waiting
for this special fix? Nevertheless, I agree with you to set the status to
accepted for 3.x.

I just red the meaning of priority P3 "Issues with this priority must be fixed
before the target release (see Target milestone) Not fixing them for the target
release must be justified by a superordinate rule."

I'm aware, that the ooo project has far to few developers but you should be also
aware that you discourage user reporting bugs when it takes over two years until
a bugreport is even assigned.

I know some people who also have problems with this issue but just are to lazy
to make a bugreport / comment on this issue (some of them think that they report
wouldn't change anything anyway - seems they were right).
Comment 10 ooo 2009-10-07 13:55:51 UTC
ka=>ali_b: it wasn't my intention to offend you or somebody else, it was just
meant to vote for those issues (what you already did in this case) that are
really annoying to you and others. Having only 5 priorities at hand, from which
P1 and P2 need a fix ASAP and P4/P5 are most likely not to be fixed within the
current code line (e.g. OOo 3.x) due to the high bug count at all, almost all
relevant issues we're talking about have a P3 priority, so we need to get some
user feedback on which tasks we should concentrate first. Regarding SVG (import
_and_ export), please be assured that the whole SVG story is currently
undergoing a major rework and that 'your' issue will most probably be fixed
within these efforts for OOo 3.3. So, please read my previous post as an
invitation to you and the community to vote, vote, vote...
