Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 83377
Changing background and text color by one click
Last modified: 2013-02-07 21:49:17 UTC
Frequently I need change the background or text color of few elements. This is very easy in MS Office, but not in OOo. MS Office: 1. Select the element. 2. Find and select the needed color. 3. Select next element. 4. Click 5. Select next element. 6. Click ... OOo: 1. Select the element. 2. Find and select the needed color. 3. Select next element. 4. Find and select the same color. 5. Select next element. 6. Find and select the same color. ... The point is that I would like to select the color once, and then just use it with a single click. This is one of the main things I miss ;).
I've just checked Write 2.3 - changing text color works the same as in MS Office, so I'm sure it shouldn't be a big problem to implement this for other things. BTW the problem is most annoying in Calc, where I would like to choose some color once, move through various cells and simply click to mark them with that color.
Hi all, I can confirm this behaviour on Ubuntu-Linux 7.04 using OOo2.3 (loaded from de.openoffice.org) By selecting a new cell in Calc the colour of "Zeichenhintergrund" switches back to "keine Füllung"... This seems to be a "calc-only" issue... @tm: who's the "winner"??
