Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 83508
Autoshapes imported from MS-Word lose external margin (distance from text)
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:26:00 UTC
I have MS Word (Office 2003 SP3) documents with autoshapes. "Autoshapes" are similar to Text Boxes, but come in a variety of shapes. When I open the file in OpenOffice Writer 2.3, the margin between (the text around the outside of the AutoShape) and (the line around the box) is reset to zero.

I reproduce the problem with OOG680_m8 under Kubuntu 6.06. See MS-WordViewer and OOo-Dev screenshots (following attachment).

I can confirm it with the attached document and with a new generated one.

MRU->HBRINKM: maybe this can be fixed together with issue 83509. The WW8 roundtrip of the wrap spacing of shapes won't work at all.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
