1) Mac OS X 10.4.10

2) Finder | Go menu | Connect to Server...

3) enter the http URL of a WebDAV service on which you have previously stored OOo-compatible files

4) Finder | select an OOo-compatible file

5) drag to dock icon for OpenOffice.org 2.3

Expected: files should open. 

Actual: files fail to open, error dialogues such as

> OpenOffice.org 2.3
> X
> General input/output error while accessing 
> /Volumes/grahamperrin/hello world.doc. 
> [OK]

Tested with three different WebDAV services: 

1) box.net 
2) Plone 3.0.2 on my localhost 
3) Desktop On Demand <https://desktopondemand.com/>.

In addition to I/O errors when attempting to _open_: 
I/O errors occur if you attempt to _save_ from OOo to a WebDAV volume that has been mounted using Finder.
