Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 83606
Data Pilots can't be copied as a Data Pilot
Last modified: 2009-12-08 17:15:01 UTC
There seems to be no way to copy a Data Pilot as a Data Pilot to another worksheet or workbook. - Selecting the Data Pilot, Copy and then Paste somewhere (on the same sheet, another sheet or another calc-file) only copies the data - Copying a whole worksheet containing a Data Pilot, results in a new sheet, with something that looks like the Data Pilot (grey blocks, the same formatting) but really isn't..(context menu isn't the data pilot context menu and the grey block's can't be dragged) See also forum topic (from 2004!!): http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=7536
Hi, not a defect as this has never been possible. Therefore enhancement. Not P2 as no data loss or crash occurs. And also a double to Issue 27611 which is easily found by a simple query for 'datapilot' and 'copy' in the description field of the query facilities. closed double
Sorry, my fault, I didn't find that issue before.. But I don't fully agree with the duplicate status, since Issue 27611, covers only the part about copying a "whole" worksheet. Can this issue be reopened, as enhancement, only for the part of normal copy-pasting a DataPilot, since this can also be a handy feature, and actually is not covered in Issue 27611.
Hi, re-opening is not necessary as the developer is aware of this Issue and it's refferenced in the duplicate. So this is addressed too in Issue 27611. Frank
This problem is very annoying for me, i use a lot Datapilot and can't copy them is so painful. This issue exist since 2004 (issue 27611), is there any chance it would be fix ?
