Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 83659
Envelope printer settings - print envelopes in wrong direction
Last modified: 2017-04-26 12:32:02 UTC
I am using OO in Fedora 7 & 8. When creating an envelope, it is created properly, but regardless of the settings I use to alter the orientation of the print, OO wants to rotate the printed page -90 degrees instead of 90 degrees, so the envelope prints on the wrong side of the paper tray and the Sender gets cut off because it's the last part to be printed. This only occurs in Linux; when I use OO on Windows, the envelopes print as I tell them to in the envelope print dialog.
Reassigned to HI.
Any update on this?
Please provide a sample to evaluate, Thanks.
What type of sample are you looking for? Screenshot? The actual paper that prints out? I'm not sure how to provide a useful sample to you. Please advise.
Provide just a file where you can reproduce the problem, Thanks. For that click to the link above "Create a new attachment" And which printer you use?

This issue (which i can confirm as a bug) could also be regarded as an RFE and become a follow-up to the CWS printerpullpages. Setting a more specific target of 3.3

This is still an issue in AOO 4.0.1. See bug 124737 updates for a possible work-around: Set the Text Direction under Format->Page to Right-to-Left Vertical and fix the margins.
