Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 84026
LOCKUP via plain html paste from firefox
Last modified: 2008-01-11 12:15:23 UTC
The following steps can be used to reproduce what seems to be a complete lockup in OpenOffice. I will attach a zip file. 1. Extract the zip file into a folder 2. Open the html content in firefox (I'm using 2.0.0.9) 3. Select the entire content with CTRL-A, and copy with CTRL-C 4. Start OpenOffice 2.3 and a new Writer document 5. Paste the content into the document At this point OpenOffice is hung, and it stays that way for a very long time. I've waited substantial time and it doesn't seem to come out of it.
Created attachment 49949 [details] zip containing html for reproducing this issue
I was able to reproduce this issue using the attachment. I am using Windows XP Pro SP2. Firefox 2.0.0.10 OpenOffice 2.3.0 It pasted 18 pages to the document and then froze. I used Process Explorer from Sysinternals to look at the soffice.bin process. It was using 50% cpu with no other noticeable changes. There were no changes in the virtual memory, physical memory, or IO.
Reassigned to ES:
I cannot reproduce it. No freeze. Win XP, Firefox 2.0.0.10, OOo 2.3.0 and m237. With or without prxy settings. "needmoreinfo"
Works fine here with 2.4m242 on WinXP and FF2.0.0.11. Resolving as fixed.
and closing. dcam, do not hesitate to reopen if you still get freeze on newer builds.
