wavelsb, could you, please, attach sample file with video and custom animation? If file is bigger than 2MB please use some file-hosting service (like http://www.rapidshare.com/).
I can reproduce this behaviour, with OOo 2.3.0 on Windows XP with Java 6 Update 3. I tried with multiple Videos in DV-AVI format (with PAL resolution, 25fps and progressive scan).
Confirming as per joergwartenberg.
Reproduced in OO 3 rc3 with various video files.
Reproduced with OOo-dev 3.4.0 DEV300m106 (Build:9582) Win7 64bit SP1 Started a new presentation and added a video (.avi). The option to add a custom animation becomes enabled. But, when you add a custom animation to the video neither the preview nor the actual presentation display the custom animation that was selected. The same thing happens for a sound file (apert.wav which is included with this version of Impress). Step by step instructions (video): 1. Start a blank presentation. 2. Insert > Movie and Sound. 3. Select a movie file (.mpg, .avi, etc). 4. Add a custom animation to your movie. 5. Play the presentation. Step by step instructions (sound): 1. Start a blank presentation. 2. In the drawing toolbar select Gallery. 3. Select Sounds (found under New Theme...). 4. Drag a sound into your presentation. 5. Add a custom animation to your sound. 6. Play the presentation.
