Description redflagzhulihua 2007-12-18 05:24:48 UTC
1. Create a writer document;
2. Insert->Frame->Options->Text direction, set to "Right-to-left (horizontal)",
click ok
3. Input some characters in the frame.

Text direction doesn't work as expect.

This text direction is implemented for CTL languages (like Hebrew or Arabic). If
you have configured an Office with e.g. Hebrew locale and CTL text input, this
will work as expected.
With Western or Asian text input, "Right-to-Left" text display won't make sense ;-)

Closed, works as designed.
Comment 3 redflagzhulihua 2007-12-18 12:30:50 UTC
I tried check CTL, but I didn't thought of Locale. :-)

But in some cases, Chinese text direction did be right-to-left, e.g., the text
on a plaque. So it's useful sometimes.;-)

Maybe it can be a enhancement. But not important, seldom used in a word

Im writing in hebrew and I need to have two columns but from right to left but it is imposible to change tehe direction of the columns. In any case I get the columns starting from the wrong side, the left one.
