Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 84898
datapilot : Select and display different calculated fields for the same value
Last modified: 2008-12-06 20:14:57 UTC
Check the screenshot. It would be nice to modify the UI so that if you set several times the same column and different calculations on them, you would see several buttons as it show on the screenshot. Currently, you can select multiple entries by double clicking on the "sum" button, and it will display only a button with "Result - <the fiels name>" on it. Thus, you can't select which one you want first...
Created attachment 50588 [details] the screenshot
Workaround: Duplicate the column in your underlying data source before using DataPilot. But yes, your proposal is a desirable feature.
reassigning features and enhancements to user requirements@openoffice.org which will be the default owner for those tasks (was introduced some time ago)
This is pretty much the same as issue 84899. Allowing to have one value several times with the same analyzing function in DataPilot, this will also allow to have one value several times with different analyzing functions in DataPilot. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 84899 ***

sweigel -> The issue is different, that's why I declared two of them. The first one is about be able to display different calculations for a given value. the second one is about displaying the same value with different formating for the data and different labels.
I still think, it is the same. As soon as you are able to add one field to the data fields several times, you should either be able to choose different calculations for it, as well as apply different formatting to the result. The latter might be dependant on issue #32303. Assigning other labels, than automatically given, would be a completely new issue that would apply for values displayed either one time or several times, as well. I still see issue 84898 and issue 84899 as two redundant issues. One should be closed as duplicate.
sweigel : Ok, agreed to close as duplicate. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 84899 ***
