In database tables it does not seem to be possible to select several fields in a
record and copy them to another record or select a whole record and copy it as a
new record.  It is only possible to copy one field at a time.  This I find
highly inconvenient as I frequently need to insert records which are similar to
existing records or copy several fields to other records.

you are right, but this is a feature enhancement -> send further to the
requirements team
