I've noticed this in impress. Normally I need formulas of font size 24 there.
Now There is nice button save font size in format -> font sizes dialog. If you
save that font everything will work until you close your presentation and open
it another time. In newly opened presentations when you insert new formula that
saved font size will be applied only to some formula elements. For example vec
and horizontal bar in over will be very small. Thank you for fixing this in advance.

New default font size is only applied to some element in new formulas.
Maybe this issue is somehow related to issue 83515.
