Description redflagzhulihua 2008-02-22 03:08:47 UTC
Open a OOo document, in the menu, Tools->Options->OpenOffice.org->View, in the
Mouse section, There is a Middle mouse button ListComboBox. An item named "Paste
clipboard" should be "Paste Selected".

Although sometimes it does paste clipboard, that's because we select before copy
to clipboard. To confirm this, you can follow the steps:

1. Open a writer document, set mouse middle button to "Paste clipboard" as above;
2. Input Dummy text with "dt"+F3;
3. Select first word "He" and copy it to clipboard; //now, "He" in clipboard
4. Select the 2nd word "heard";
5. Click middle button in the text.

You'll find the word "heard" is inserted in the text.

Could somebody act on this issue so that it could be fixed for 3.0?
Comment 2 peter.junge 2008-02-26 06:07:46 UTC
IMHO changing the Listbox string to something alike 'Paste Selected' would be
the correct solution, as this function was AFAIR implemented to bring Xclipboard
functionality to Windows.

I support "Paste Selected"

"Paste selected" would be fine.
Comment 6 christoph 2008-03-01 17:18:48 UTC
I'm fine with "Paste Selected".

Just for the record, the corresponding discussion on the UX (user experience)
