On openSuse 10.3 (32 bit version, java 1.5.14)
When open print preview, the view not showing text boxes. Text boxes properties
set to print. 
If try to print through File>Print.. the printout not contains text boxes.
PDF export same, no text boxes.
Note:
Same behavior in OOo 2.3.1.2  Novell edition more detaiils in, novell bugzilla:

same on win XP OOo 2.4RC1

It seems to me it solved in 2.4RC2 print preview works, but some strange shadow
came up submitted in 86725.

It's always the case with the 0002.4RC2 (680_m6).

I've test it on windows XP also : the trouble exist. No chcek boxes visible
