Try to copy the following CIFS adress from Outlook :

\\myWindowsPath\My_resource

and paste it in OOo. It will not work !!

What do you mean by "it will not work"?
Where into OOo did you paste the link? Into a document and then clicking it did
not work? Or into the Fileopen dialog and the link was not accepted?

You copy it into a writer page. And not much will be copied.

Here are 2 screenshots of the before and after. In this example, I copied 5 CIFS
adress each on a different line (see screenshot What I copied). The before is
the doc before the copy. You should guess what is the after.

Same problem can also be reproduced without Outlook. Open the attached document
in MS Word, copy content to clipboard, paste as RTF in Writer -> empty paragraphs.

MRU->AMA: this only happens when using the RTF interface via clipboard. Normal
import works fine.
