Repro:
1. Open Calc, Insert - Hyperlink.
2. In Path navigate to any .xls file, in Target select any sheet, Apply, Close.
3. Type something in Text, Apply, Close.
4. Click hyperlink - you get an error message

Note that .ods files as hyperlink target open just fine.

Reportedly this also happens with .doc targets, so changing component to 
framework.

since it is discovered to happen with .doc too, please reassign to developer 
in framework project.

Stil present in 3.1RC2.
Note that you need to specify target in the document (e.g. worksheet) for the 
error message to appear.
