Description gemal 2002-10-28 15:30:03 UTC
Some programs like dictinstall needs to be able to located the OpenOffice
installation path. Couldn't the installer create a reg.db entry like:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OpenOffice\install"
with a value like "c:\program files\openoffice"

Looks for me like an enhancement.

any chance for this in openoffice.org

if fx mozilla thunderbird needed to support loading the ooo dict files
thunderbird needs to be able to detect where to look for ooo dict files.
Currently it doesn't seems possible to detect where ooo installs

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".

Dictionaries are provided through extension now.
No need to know registry informations.
