I'm using BrOffice 2.4 but this problem is not new.
Everytime I create a new note in a cell in a spreadsheet created in Excell it is
created with the default font "Courier". There is no option to change the
default font but there should be.

reassigning features and enhancements to user requirements@openoffice.org which
will be the default owner for those tasks (was introduced some time ago)

Confirming in OOo 3.1. Ours users have also expressed a desire for this feature.

File created with Excel 2010 and opened in Calc has comment with Tahoma font. A new comment in Calc has Arial font.
