Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 88281
Non limited search info dialogs when repeating search from the navigation bar -> crash
Last modified: 2013-01-29 21:43:56 UTC
1. Open a document. 2. Open search dialog and search for a string that isn't contained in the document. You'll get an info dialog saying the string wasn't found. Close it and the search dialog, too. 3. Open the Navigator. Open the navigation toolbar. Select the repeat search mode. Press the forward or the backward button. You'll get againd the string not found info dialog. 4. Are you tempted to press the ok button to close the info dialog? Wait! I'm not! I'm a dumd user! So I keep pressing the forward/backward buttons, so I get more and more info dialogs. 5. I keep pressing on and on... and after thirty dialogs or so I manage to crash OOo :-). I didn't test with 2.3.1 nor with DEV300, but in 2.2 this didn't happen (you could only get one info dialog), so this is a regression.

Reassigned to SBA.
Multiple dialogue confirmed. Didn't go far enough to confirm crash. Same thing in 2.4.1 and DEV300_m6. Would probably be better if the open dialogue prevented further identical dialogues being opened. Possibly not serious enough to warrant fixing unless something else in the same code area is being changed.
oops, forgot 'new'
In case it helps, I've sent a crash report. The ID is rdbuft.
set self as cc, also for 2.4.1 read 2.4.0, sorry
