Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 88531
Datapilot: New drill-down feature delivers wrong data, when grouped by date
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:15:24 UTC
Introduction: There is a new feature for datapailot in OOo 2.4.0 ("drill-down"). Double-click in Datapilot cell provides calculation data of that cell. For more information about this feature see the following documents: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/New_Features_2.4#Calc http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=57030 http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Calc/Features/DataPilot_drill-down_on_data_field Bug description: (1) Create a datapilot table that is based on some record sets containing a date-field. (2) Group the datapilot result using any time-based intervall, for example groub by months. (3) Perform a double-click to one of the result cells in the datapilot. (4) Calc provides the underlying record sets in a new sheet. Bug: The date-values in this new sheet are incorrect.
Created attachment 53079 [details] Calc document. Perform double-click in cell B19. You will see the bug.
Created attachment 53080 [details] Screenshot. Situation before double-click in cell B19
Created attachment 53081 [details] Screenshot. Situation after double-click in cell B19. Look at the dates!!
Confirmed (according to OOo de chat today). Put regina on CC.
Put OC on CC.
ah, date handling in data-pilot is a bit tricky beast. let me take a look at that.
accepting the issue.
BTW how did you group those dates by month?
kohei, for grouping by month, first make a datapilot without grouping, then click on on one of the date-cells in the result, then choose Data | Group and Outline | Group or simply press F12. Watch it on youtube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=dkBRzLrtqDI
Ah! It wasn't working for me because I was selecting cells then trying to group. Your nice video really helped. Thanks! :-)
fixed in koheidatapilot01 cws.
The code has changed quite a bit in this area between the version where this bug was discovered, and the version I had to work on. In my new code, this date based grouping was not handled at all, so I needed to implement it to get it to work properly.
set target (to the cws' one)
reopen for qa.
re-assign to oc for qa verification.
setting the status to FIXED
verified in internal build cws_koheidatapilot01
closed because fix available in builds OOO300_m6 and DEV300_m31
