Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 88869
Word document equations have scale and position issues
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:54:29 UTC
In several of my engineering documents, created in Word XP and 2003, many of the in-line equations have uncorrect sizes and appear at incorrect postions. This only happens with a fraction of the equations in each document, however the problem is evident. I attach a document to this issue report. With respect to this document: File: "Trabajo Profesional - Cap 4 - Analisis de Soluciones.doc" Page 11: - the last two formulas are in the wrong size (scaled up for some reason) Page 12: - All 5 equations are have a scale problem Page 13: - All 3 equations in this page are fine, no problems Page 14 and 18: - again the formula scale problem. This document displays fine with no problems in Word 2003.
Created attachment 53270 [details] Sample word document exhibiting the problem
Created attachment 53278 [details] shorter file focussing on the equations
MRU->TL: the mentioned problem only occurs, when the MathType conversion in Tools.Options.LoadSave.MSOffice is enabled. Then, most of the equations are converted much tool large. Maybe this is also related to issue 69385.
