Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 8894
browser-like 'back' button for navigator
Last modified: 2004-01-16 15:18:02 UTC
Hi, I know, you all have got enough to do ;-) but nevertheless here a suggestion for a new feature: To efficiantly use the navigator it would be great to have a 'back' button like browsers have. I've got more then 60 headings in my navigator and often click on one of it to move the cursor - but often forget where I came from. Further: If I find the heading where I came from it places the cursor at the beginning of the chapter which, however, might be quite a different cursor position if the chapter is a long one. So this would work only if you put a little intelligence to the 'back' button. Because you normaly move the cursor around also inside the target passage of text the back button should remember where the cursor was BEFORE you clicked on the navigator. A similar thing is already built in: When clicking on a footnote and after editing it, you can press 'Page Up' to turn back. Thanks.
