Open XtraChars.odt; select ’Droite’, copy it (^c), paste it after ’Copy:’: get
’Droite’, OK.
Now, paste in a plain-text window --ASCII editor, Math formula window,
bookmark-defining window: ’Droite’ is preceded by 4 other characters! (If I am
trying to define a bookmark called ’Droite’, two of them are rejected.)
Why?

You will also get this result when pasting inside OOo Writer - use the
"Unmformatted text" option from the "Paste special" menu (or the "Paste"
controller in the Toolbar).

MRU->AMA: when copying a string from the numbered paragraph, also some curious
symbols will be copied preceeding the string.
