Description brant 2002-11-04 00:34:57 UTC
When I have my paragraph style as first-line indented, a new paragraph shows the
cursor in the correct location, but not the paragraph symbol.
Comment 1 prgmgr 2002-11-20 20:02:11 UTC
Brant, just to make sure we are on the same page:

1. You are changing:

    Indents & Spacing->First Line
    to some non-zero value.

I used the default style for the test.

2. Paragraph symbol is the symbol that is generated by pressing
    Enter/Return.

Duplicated on RH 8.0, OOo 643.

The paragraph symbol does go to the correct location once text is entered.

Comment 2 brant 2002-11-20 22:08:54 UTC
Yes, that is essentially the same thing. I was referring to the
first-line indent style in the stylist, but it applies the changes you
specified so that is the root cause. If RH 8.0 is a different OS or
something, you may wish to update the OS/Platform fields.
Comment 3 brant 2002-11-20 22:09:35 UTC
Since P M reproduced this, I am marking it as Confirmed.
Comment 4 Joost Andrae 2002-12-01 12:48:46 UTC
Joost->Andreas: I can confirm this. If you enable nonprinting
characters then the paragraph end symbol does not follow the first
line indent position. It's always shown at its original position.
Maybe this is an RFE but I'm nor sure about it. In src641 it was the
same. I did not set a target milestone because it needs to be
evaluated by the developer.
