Description anjalip222 2008-05-26 07:23:31 UTC
Hi, I'm using OOo 2.4.0 on Intel Pentium-IV with Windows SP2.

I have noticed that whenever a page background colour is applied, the colour
fills up only the page area enclosed within the margins. The area outside the
margins remains in WHITE colour only.

Say I have an A4 page with 2 cm margins on the top, bottom, left and right. I go
to Format -> Page, select background , colour=YELLOW. What is next observed is
that the page enclosed by the margins become yellow, while the rest of the page
did not change colour.

This is undesireable both because: a.) It looks bad, and b.) If I have to export
the page to PDF with uniform page colour, then it is not possible to do so.

I suggest that the "Page Background Colour" feature should be modified to colour
the entire page and not just the margins.

I suggest this is a duplicate of Issue 9370, that covers the background color/
image in general. Also note that it affects compatibility, that should have been
fixed with Issue 18247 but tested in 2.4 - Not working.
