In version 2.4 (maybe 2.3 as well) navigation bookmarks can be created in a pdf
exported from Impress.  The book marks are crucial when using a PDF to present
on a PC which doesn't have OpenOffice.

The bookmarks are no longer created in 3.x - Tested both the beta version and
the current development version
OOo-Dev_DEV300_m14_LinuxIntel_install_en-US.tar.gz on linux and 3.0 beta on Windows.
