Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 90774
accessing a Thunderbird address book not possible
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:44:56 UTC
- ensure you have a Thunderbird address book - in OOo, create a new database document, which connects to the Thunderbird AB - open this document - select "Tables" on the left hand side => crash
Hi Frank, Confirming. Setting oooqa crash keywords. If you go through recovery, then try and click on Tables, it crashes again, and then OKaying the system error message leaves the ODB document container displayed with the multicoloured carousel cursor spinning. The app has then to force killed. Alex
Submitted issue 91209 to temporarily (for the 3.0) release disable the Mozilla Address Book support on Mac OS X. Reasoning is that the Mozilla components we ship with OOo (which provide this support) are severely flawed on the Mac/Intel platform, to fix the issue, we need to upgrade to a newer version, which cannot be done in time for 3.0. Targeting this issue here for 3.1, thus.
+me on CC Adding keyword : aqua
@fs : I was able to fix the build issues on Mac OS X Intel, but PowerPC should work the same way (using mac toolkit) and I think it's time to give it a try. Is it correct to reverse the changes from nomacmozab for the test, or do you have suggestions ? Note : Pierre will probably test on Linux x86_64 + adding Pierre on CC
We won't be able to do this for 3.1, sorry.
On Linux the build with SeaMonkey 1.1.13 is actually correct, and I can't reproduce the Thunderbird adress book crash. I'll update the cws.
adjusting summary/keywords to say that this is not about a crash anymore
Retargeting to "Later" - see this as an expression of realism, please :-\
