Description sobhi 2008-07-03 03:28:56 UTC
I just updated from 2.4.0 to 2.4.1 to resolve another issue with wizard and I
noticed this problem with impress that I use mostly.
I'm using RHEL 5.2 on Intel 32-bit PC.
Double clicking a PPT / ODP file crashes "impress". When in recovery window, it
hangs.
Starting impress from "main gnome menu" presents presentation wizard and when
clicking "next" or "create" it crashes.

My solution so far has been to edit "soffice" script add "-norestore" to the
startup command and now it works but this workaround does not allow recovery :-(

Sorry, not reproducible here on Suse. What is RHEL 5.2? Do you use the offical
OOo version or from some other distributor build? Thanks in advance.

RHEL 5.2 is Red Hat Enterprise Linux v5 update 2
I've installed OpenOffice from OpenOffice.org
This issue is wide-spread in my organization.
