Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 91390
Aqua: Cursor position wrong in justified paragraph
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:43:11 UTC
Highlighting of words in special rows (which seem to be formated a way of wide tracking - in fact they are not) with a doubleclick does not affect the last letter although the word can be copied completely (the not-highlighted letter included). Follow these steps to reproduce this: 1. Open the document OOo_cursor-fehler.odt (Document was created under Neooffice 2.2.4) 2. doubleclick any word in line 6 (Zusammenhänge von Hirnbiologie, Fortentwicklung des Unterrichts i.S. von mehr) and/or 15 (17.9.: Hirnbiologische Grundlagen des Lernens (Vortrag und praktischer Teil)) 3. look at the last letter (it should be not highlighted) 4. copy/paste it (the word - it should be copied completely)

Created attachment 54951 [details] doubleclicked word in special row ist not highlighted correctly
my technical specifications: ibook 12" 1.2 GHz PPC G4, 1.25 GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.5.4
MRU->FME: was only reproducible on MAC. open attached document and double click one of the mentioned words -> selection is not displayed across the full word. When changing para alignment to "left" e.g. it looks good.
If it works in >=DEV300_m21 or >=BEB300_m3 this is a duplicate of issue 90785.
sorry folks -- i wrote in wrong version: OOo 3.0 Beta (DEV300_m21) is the correct version i tested with. Please change Target Milestone if necessary. defect still alive in DEV300_m23 (tested 5 minutes ago)
fme->hdu: Mac only? I suggest you take over.

reminder: the ideas of the Writer engine and ATSUI layout differ on how to distribute the available space in justified lines: Writer expands the spaces, ATSUI also expands a little inside words
