Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 9181
Powerpoint import messes up connectors
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:54:41 UTC
If you use Powerpoint 2002 to create connectors between various objects in the imports some connectors loose their connector points or move to other connector points. I will upload an example and a screenshot of the original Powerpoint presentation to see the problem. Perhaps this issue depends on the fact that you can't define further connector points in OOo? It looks as the necessary information seems to be present but OOo lacking the possibilitie of a direct translation.
Created attachment 3567 [details] Screenshot from Powerpoint
Set to new.
Created attachment 3568 [details] The Powerpoint 2002 document
Reassigned to Christian.
Duplicated on Win NT 4.0 SP6a, OOo 643. Same effect when PPT to Impress/Impress to PPT conversion option is enabled.
I can reproduce the bug.
sj: I will try to fix this bug for OO 1.1 Beta. sj->uno: Don't worry, OOo is able to define further connector points. It is not obvious, but if you enable the 'Option Bar' the button "EditGluePoints" is appearing.
sj: changed target.
This issue has been fixed now. I added connector points for all "basic" and "process" shapes, so the attachment can now be loaded properly. (Other shape connector points for "arrow" and "callout" shapes are not yet fully implemented. But this is still on my todo list) The fix will be available up from OOo 1.1 and takes place in in cws [draw4]
changed status to fixed
verified in draw4 on Sols, Lin, Win.
Fix is intgrated in the latest internal version on Sols, Lin, Win. The fix will be integrated in the OOoBeta1.1. I close the issue.
