Description Unknown 2002-11-12 13:56:02 UTC
In some graphics imported from Powerpoint the size of circles seems to screw up.
I will upload an example ppt-File and the original screenshot.

Reassigned to Christian.
Comment 4 brant 2002-11-13 01:01:35 UTC
I can confirm this issue with build 643. The number 4 appears in an
oval when opened in Open Office. It should be a circle.

Now it's your issue.

This attachment is describing one of our biggest problems we
currently have with Mircosoft documents. It is the result of
different group object handling between both applications.
In Mircosoft documents the size of the group objects is determined by
unrotated objects, whereas OpenOffice keeps account to the rotation
of included objects. The second difference is that in OpenOffice the
size of an object is strictly the size of the visible object border,
whereas objects in Microsoft documents may differ. This is the often
happening with arc objects. Due to the fact that this bug will not be
easy to fix a solution may last for some time.

SJ: Changed target to OOo 2.0, but I keep trying to get a solution
already for OOo 1.1 Beta.
