Description Rainer Bielefeld 2008-07-27 09:17:55 UTC
"Ooo-dev 3.0.0 Beta Multilingual version English UI WIN XP: [300m27
(Build9336)]" replaced my standard OOo installation "2.4.1 Multilingual
version German UI WIN XP: [680m17(Build9310)]" unwanted.

What means "replaces"? Uninstall? What is a multilingual german OOo Version?
Comment 2 Rainer Bielefeld 2008-07-27 11:09:14 UTC
> What means "replaces"?

2.4.1 remained on the computer, but the Quick launch button (? Left in the WIN
Start Bar) has been replaced by one in the new design, and furthermore all OOo
files have been opened with m27 when I double clicked them from WIN Explorer.
In between I repaired the 2.4.1 installation, so now the assignment is reverted
to 2.4.1 as I need it.
All other new -dev installation have been parallel to 2.4.1 without modifying
the assignement.

> What is a multilingual german OOo Version?
"Multilingual version German UI" means EN-US as base installation
(OOo-Dev_DEV300_m27_Win32Intel_install_en-US.exe) with active German language pack.

I confirm the problem with FR installation of OOo 2.4.1 on XP (in VMware)
If you are not admin of your PC, you have to manually restore each "open with"
assignment.

@ is: I think we should disarm the DEV snapshots.
Comment 5 ingo.schmidt-rosbiegal 2008-07-28 14:42:50 UTC
Fixed in cws native178.
With
WRITE_REGISTRY = 0
in the property table for development builds, no Windows registry keys are written.
Comment 6 ingo.schmidt-rosbiegal 2008-07-28 15:49:26 UTC
is -> of: Please verify in cws native178. MS file type registration is also not
done, if WRITE_REGISTRY is set to 0.
Comment 7 Olaf Felka 2008-07-29 15:03:11 UTC
OF: The developer snapshot now behaves as a beta version. The non-dev version is
also ok.
Comment 8 Olaf Felka 2008-10-21 11:53:34 UTC
OF: Looks good for me in the latest developer snapshot m33.
