Description btcs 2008-07-30 07:19:10 UTC
If a Zero Width non-joiner is used to prevent a conjunct from being formed when
using a complex script language, during a search the character should be
ignored. This also happens when a Zero Width Joiner character is used.

The following example is in hindi but should apply to all complex script languages.

सà¥à¤¤à¥à¤° is made up of सॠ+ तॠ+ रà¥
and if a zero width non-joiner is user you should get:
सà¥â€Œà¤¤à¥à¤° is made up of सॠ+ Zero Width non-joiner + तॠ+ रà¥

Now when a search is performed and the user enters the string with on the zero
width non-joiner (सà¥à¤¤à¥à¤°) both versions of the string should be found, but only the
strings that don't have a zero width non-joiner will come up in the search.
