Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 92320
Application crashes, after protecting sheet, inserting hyperlink
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:11:22 UTC
1.create a new Calc 2.Tools-Protect Document-Sheet, input any password you want, OK 3.Insert-hyperlink, New Document 4.input a name into the File box 5.double click on the Apply button 6.one dialog warns that "the file already exists.Overwrite?", select Yes or NO, either is ok, here, we click Yes 7.close the Hyperlink dialogs 8.another dialog warns that "Protected cells can not be modified", OK Application crashes
Confirmed. Clicking Apply twice is not needed though. Same blurb as in issue 92313: @yun_jt: please don't assign new issues directly to developers, leave the Assigned_to field empty instead, which assigns the issue to the default spreadsheet owner and may draw more attention from other people monitoring the queue. Also, this issue does not have a patch attached, so type PATCH is not appropriate, setting to DEFECT. Btw, 'erack' is my spare time account I rarely use (due to lack of spare time ;-) my official account is 'er'.
confirmed
OOo 3.2 is in show stopper mode. This issue is open for some months and it does seems that it is a stopper. Therefore I change the target of this issue to the next release. Please try to work on this issue in this time frame. Thx.
@nn: This seems to be caused by the interaction of the "Protected cells cannot be modified" dialog that pops up hidden under the hyperlink dialog and the newly created document, some window parent/focus handling problem? The crash itself was under xmloff::GetXMLToken(). Not having dived in deeper I don't get the real cause.
Won't have time to work on this for OOo3.3, re-targeting to OOo3.4
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
