Hi
Thank you for accepting.

The updated dictionary can be obtained as an extension in the following link

http://www.deso-se.com.br/downloads/broffice.org/Vero_pt_BR_V200AOC.oxt

Thank you again.

Comment 5 ohallot 2008-12-16 13:56:36 UTC
If deadlines are still open, please consider the most recent update of our
spelling dictionary, which includes now an hyphenator, available at:

http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/Vero

Thank you
Comment 6 caiot1 2008-12-16 14:09:46 UTC
Pavel, can you look at this?

If it is not possible for 3.0.1, would be nice to get it for 3.1.

@Mh: anything has been integrated on 3.0.1?
Comment 7 Mathias_Bauer 2009-01-12 15:09:33 UTC
Martin, is there any reason not to include the attached files? I could ram it
into my CWS mba31issues01 that already contains some new dictionaries.
Comment 8 ohallot 2009-01-12 16:54:45 UTC
We would like not to miss this opportunity (3.0.1) and time frame, wherever
possible. Since Jan 2009, the official pt-BR spelling is the one supported by
this extension, and OO got a lot of positive press attention due to the single
fact that it is THE ONLY Office suite with support to the new Portuguese
spelling agreement.

Not even Microsoft has this, and they denied to provide any deadline for their
spelling tool.

Thanks in advance
Comment 9 Mathias_Bauer 2009-01-26 12:44:15 UTC
@ohallot: I forgot to mention that if we want to prebundle the extension with
OOo, I have to remove the license acceptance step from description.xml. This is
not a problem as (L)GPL does not require to show the license to users. But I
wanted to mention it in case you have a problem with it.
Comment 10 ohallot 2009-01-26 12:50:05 UTC
@mba: Absolutely no problem with that. Please go ahead.
Comment 11 Mathias_Bauer 2009-01-26 14:04:26 UTC
OK, so it's fixed in CWS mba31issues01
Comment 12 ohallot 2009-01-26 14:24:34 UTC
On behalf of the Brazilian community, I thank you very much indeed.
Comment 13 Mathias_Bauer 2009-01-27 11:52:48 UTC
In case no one has another idea: the only thing I see to verify here is that
spell checking in pt-BR still works
Comment 14 stefan.baltzer 2009-01-27 15:19:25 UTC
Verified in CWS mba31issues01.
Spell check gives meaningful proposals for PT_BR spelling errors.
Comment 15 rt 2009-02-20 11:44:09 UTC
dictionaries/pt_BR/description.xml as integrated with CWS mba31issues01_OOO310
(revision 267837) still contained a license acceptance block. This broke the
pack process at least for unxmacxi.pro, because the dictionary extension
dict-pt.oxt could not get registered. I therefore removed this license
acceptance directive (see revision 268311, done as masterfix for OOO310 m2).
Please have a look whether that's OK so. If not, feel free to open a follow-up
issue.
Comment 16 ohallot 2009-03-12 21:49:00 UTC
Hi

Following M5 localized build, the spellchecker does no work any more.

All text in pt-BR typed in a writer document is flagged by the red wavy
underline. Spellchecker does no suggest any replacement.

If the paragraph is defined as English, the english text is OK.

If the paragraph is defined as pt-PT, then the text is OK

Investigating the installation I see this path:

/home/oliva/m5/openoffice.org3/share/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages/jWPbmt_/dict-pt.oxt

and the strange thing is /dict-pt.oxt. Should it be /dict-pt-BR.oxt instead? May
be an adjustment in the build script.

Sorry but this is a true SHOW-STOPPER.

Comment 17 ohallot 2009-03-12 21:56:01 UTC
Also, please the extension where you got the .aff and .dict files also contains
the hyphenator file. Is there any reason not to have included it?

http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/Vero
Comment 18 Mathias_Bauer 2009-03-13 08:53:46 UTC
No, the name of the extension is correct. And it doesn't matter BTW. The only
thing that counts is what is written in the dictionaries.xcu.
Comment 19 Mathias_Bauer 2009-03-13 08:54:56 UTC
Is there a reason why the hyphenation shouldn't be included? Of course it would
be possible to split that, but my assumption was that users would like to have
as few extensions as possible.
Comment 20 ohallot 2009-03-13 13:24:19 UTC
About this last comment: sure we don't want extension proliferation.

The extension indicated (Vero= dicts and hypehnation for pt-BR) already has the
hyphenation file included and the dictionary.xcu (in M5) has it defined inside.
Only that the file

hyph_pt_BR.dic

is missing.

I am attaching it here to make things easier.

hyphenation dictionary to be included in 3.1
Comment 22 stefan.baltzer 2009-03-13 16:01:36 UTC
PT_BR spelling does not work at all in m5: All words marked as wrong, no
proposals in dialog or context.
Works well with fresh downloaded oxt (Version 2.0.3 that contains both spell and
hyph). It should be easy and safe to exchange for 3.1
SBA->MBA: Please proceed.
Comment 23 stefan.baltzer 2009-03-13 18:15:15 UTC
I proposed this one being a stopper on the releases mail alias.
Comment 24 Olaf Felka 2009-03-18 15:25:49 UTC
some forgot to add this issue to the stopper list :-(
Comment 25 Mathias_Bauer 2009-03-19 17:47:28 UTC
I discovered a bug in the dictionary.xcu file. Fixed now.
Comment 26 Mathias_Bauer 2009-03-19 17:49:02 UTC
please verify; Linux build is done, Windows build is still running
Comment 27 stefan.baltzer 2009-03-20 15:03:02 UTC
Verified in CWS sw31bf08.
Comment 28 ohallot 2009-04-07 23:08:21 UTC
Hello
Saddly, the spell checker still broken in RC1 (buildOOO31_m9), downloaded from

http://openoffice.c3sl.ufpr.br/extended/3.1.0rc1/

as package

BrOOo_3.1.0rc1_20090402_LinuxIntel_install_pt-BR.tar.gz

All words are marked as wrong spells. Language was set to Portuguese Brazil in
the Options.

and besides as I told above, the extension also has an hyphenation dictionary
which was not included in the build and which soffice complains:

Couldn't find file
/home/oliva/rc1/broffice.org3/program/../share/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages/8ALiY3_/dict-pt.oxt/dictionaries/hyph_pt_BR.dic

Again, we are in a situation of a SHOW STOPPER.
Comment 29 stefan.baltzer 2009-04-14 10:39:00 UTC
SBA->MBA: Please have a look. Changes from CWS sw31bf08 not in master?
Comment 30 stefan.baltzer 2009-04-15 11:05:17 UTC
SBA->TL: As discussed with MBA, please proceed, thx.
Comment 31 oliver.bolte 2009-04-15 14:45:02 UTC
