Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 92976
Save: offer option to show all files in dialog independent from selected file type
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:34:17 UTC
File menu > Save As > Save dialog > Browse for other folders shows a menu that, according to the tooltip, is to "[s]elect which types of files are shown". Why isn't there a menu option to show all the types that may be present? A user may wish to choose a name for a new file that differs from or is similar to that of an existing file and seeing them all helps that. I'm using OOo Writer 2.4.0, without Java Runtime Environment, on Linux Fedora Core 4. Information initializing your query form is irrelevant, as it's from a public terminal. Thank you. -- Nick
reassigned to requirements.
More info: 2 menus occur when Writer is running with the Gnome 2.10.0 desktop. When the desktop for KDE 3.4.0-6 Red Hat is running, only 1 menu appears in the dialog. This is mentioned in this issue only as additional info. For an issue on the number-of-menus discrepancy-per-desktop, see issue 93234. -- Nick
