Description Uwe Altmann 2008-08-31 18:46:36 UTC
The Document has two pages
Printing will cause
- Preview saying "1 of 1 page(s)" and
- "Print" will print only first page and after that
- automatically open printig dialog again for page two

Pdf generating also will generate only first page.

Printer: Cannon Pixma MP800

confirm. The reason is that at the vcl printer two different page formats are
requested. For documents with two really different page formats (e.g.
insert->envelope) there is no way around this since the mac printing system does
not allow for the page format to change during a print job, so you need to
create two jobs.

With the attached document however I see no reason why there should be two page
formats involved.

fme: do you have any input on this ?

@pl: After a first glance, I cannot see anything special about this document.
Except from the fact that the paper size is set to 'user'. What's puzzling me is
that pdf creation is also said to be affected. That should be platform
independent, shouldn't it? But I cannot reproduce the pdf issue.

Sorry - I was wrong. PDF export is working like expected, just printing does not.
Next I tried to change paper format from "user" to "A4" for both sides of the
document (the two pages have different page temlates) - now printing works well.
So the problem seems to be paper format "user" which is /always/ treated as
change in paper format (and so resulting in two print jobs) even if there is no
change in actual values of paper height and width for the pages involved.

if that is the case I should take another look at it.

confirm

Test for actual paper size instead of just the name of the paper size would be
the better solution.

This problem is fixed in DEV300m71 (containing CWS printerpullpages, which fixed
this on the fly)
