Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 93666
Missing partition line between file types in system file dialogs.
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:30:58 UTC
Open OOo with the OOo-own dialog. Open the data type list box. You see partition lines between the different data types Open OOo with the systemdialog (Not on Win XP) Open the data type list box as well. There is no partition lines between the different data types. In version 2.4.1 it works fine as far as I could tested. So it is a regresion.
SBA->Mechtilde: As discussed in IRC today, this is a "regression" only on Windows Vista. -> removing keywords "regression" and "release_stopper" and link to issue 88888. -> Set OS "Windows Vista"
Reproducible in a m8 build.
OOo 2.4.1 never had a native Vista File Dialog, so this can't be broken. It's not possible to add some inactive (unselectable) file types like a dividing line to the file types list. It's only possible to add this partition line and Vista file dialog treats it as a file type - bad idea.
Reassigned for closing.

I tested it again with OOo 2.4.1 under Vista. There is a system dialog which differed from the OOo-dialog. If I open the listbox of the file types I can see partition lines. Theses lines are missing in OOo 3.0. This is the problem if this issue and therefore it is a regression.
@mechtilde: what you see with OOo 2.4.1 on Vista is the WinXP native FileDialog. The dividing line there isn't very usefull too because it can be selected as a file type. Though this is a minor issue I won't copy this misbehaviour for the new file dialogs too.
.
reopened, set regression keyword again. From a users point of view, this is a regression as it is now very dificult to choose files of the correct file type (file types are not separated anymore). If you like to read about the effects to new OO users, you may get by german c't magazine no. 22 (2008).
