Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 95032
Status Bar: Page View Layout Icons are without function in Page Preview mode
Last modified: 2014-04-14 13:09:25 UTC
The page setting buttons in the status bar look similar to the buttons in the print preview, see the attached screenshot. They have a bit different functions. The icons in the status bar do notthing in the print preview. It seems that some users are confused by this. Should we remove the status bar icons in the print preview at all? Would be possible to create different looking icons? Does anyone have any better idea?
Created attachment 57182 [details] Screenshot showing the problematic icons.
MRU->ES: the buttons look too similar in the "Industrial" and the "Crystal" Symbol style. In "Galaxy" style this looks better. Could you please reassign to responsible "Button-designer" ;-) ? Thanks!
@FL: for the icon design problem, please discuss this with STS. @pmladek: Please file another issue for "The icons in the status bar do notthing" (they should work like in edit mode) and assign it to FME.
[...] Please file another issue for "The icons in the status bar do notthing" (they should work like in edit mode) and assign it to FME. [...] No, they should not work like in edit mode. There are only two possible options (I currently don't know which of them can be realized): - Make the page layout control invisible in the page layout view or - Paint the control in a 'control disabled' way.
Still Reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-dev – English UI / German locale - [AOO410m14(Build:9760) - Rev. 1583418_2014-04-02]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile. Icons are not required because of similar Functions on preview Toolbar We should get some cleanup here. Do we really need 2 pairs of zoom+- icons and a zoom slider in parallel with zoom selector in Page Preview toolbar?
