Description ccheney 2008-10-22 00:27:57 UTC
I received a user request that AutoRecovery saving while dragging objects around
in a large document. Perhaps the bug really is that you can't make any changes
to a document while it is process of autosaving? If the file is on a slow (eg
remote) filesystem this could cause problems even for relatively small files.

Original Ubuntu bug report:

"
I am working on a large presentation that includes many photos. It takes a while
to save the presentation to disk because of all the photos (it's over 300MB
right now). Just now while I was dragging an image object to another place on a
slide, the autosave kicked in, which stopped me from doing anything until the
save completed. This is quite annoying. OO should be smart enough to avoid this.
