Just a thought.

It would be nice if changing the cursor position in a document would enable the
save function.

i.e. I have just written a document and being a good little paranoid Windows
user I immediately save it. Now whenever I open the document the cursor is at
the end of the document. Moving the cursor to the beginning does not allow a
save (as there are no other changes).

The workarounds are numerous and easy but not having to workaround it would be nice.
