Description mikhail.voytenko 2008-10-30 14:13:29 UTC
We need a way to allow user to start presentation in ActiveX control in
fullscreen and windows mode from the ActiveX control session.

The current idea is to show two buttons ( fullscreen slide show, browser window
slide show ) in ActiveX control toolbar instead of current "start slide show"
button, that starts it in preconfigured mode. The F5 key will start slide-show
in browser window. Additionally, opening of a presentation in ActiveX control
will let it be started immediately in browser window.

If I am not wrong, the additional result of the discussion was that it would be
nice to have an additional button to allow to access the general settings of the
slide-show.

Adjust target.
Comment 3 mikhail.voytenko 2009-04-16 12:30:55 UTC
As we have on the last meeting discussed, it looks like we do not need to allow
to start presentation in full-screen mode from ActiveX control.

As it was mentioned, such a behavior is recognized as wrong one, any browser
plugin that tries to open full-screen window actually breaks the design. The
designed behavior is that plugin always uses the browser window, and the user
can use the kiosk-mode to have it full-screen.

Thus it looks like the feature is not really a desired one and can probably be
closed.

Branch-date (feature- and code-freeze) for OOo 3.2 is nearly done. Therefore I
change the target of this issue to OOo 3.x. If you think it is a stopper for OOo
3.2 please change the target back.
